The amount of butthurt about the movie is outstanding though. One of my friends is a massive Bourne Trilogy fan, and he's insitant on this being a complete **** of the trilogy.

I'll definitely be seeing it, it looks quite good.

HUGE fan of the Trilogy here, but I'll be definately seeing this. I mean, sure... Matt Damon was Jason Bourne, but he got his Identity back. There has to be another Bourne, so this movie makes perfect sense.

I haven't read the second trilogy tbh but I've read a lot of Eric Van Lustbader's work and he's a much better author than Robert Ludlum is/was IMO.

Trailer looked good.

I found reading the books really, really difficult.

I've only read Eric Van Lustbader's early work .. and .. ugh .. I sure as hell hope he improved. Seriously, my memories of his work are so bad, I honestly would find it difficult to pick up one of his later books.

Which series? I quite enjoyed the Sunset Warrior cycle, although it's been a LOOOONG time since I read it.

Read the Nicholas Linnear/Ninja series.

I finished it, but that was more a sign of my stubbornness than any measurement of the quality in the writing.

Ahhh that's totally understandable, that entire series was excessively long winded IMO, from memory the spin-offs were better written.
