They claim to be focusing on Chiefs human side and story... I am worried simply because this is exactly what i have always wanted. BUT has by far the greatest potential to ruin the game if done poorly.

Before you play you have to read Halo:cryptum and Halo:primordium. Brilliant tie in fiction and by the looks of it will really set you up well for the game. Curious as to whether we will come across any precusors ( or they flood now or are flod repursor :S im still confused ) and Forerunners.

Only one thing left now, they release it for PC so i can play it with real GFX.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a live-action Halo-based web series, will launch this Fall ahead of the November 6 release of its Xbox 360 counterpart.

The series is available exclusively to website Machinima and Microsoft's online community Halo Waypoint in the run-up to Halo 4's release, and represents the largest investment Microsoft has made in a live-action show to date, Microsoft told Variety.

Speaking to Variety, 343 Industries' director of franchise business management Matt McCloskey said the series is a way "to make 'Halo' accessible for people who haven't played the games."

Halo franchise head Frank O'Connor adds it allows for "people to get onboard this universe without feeling intimidated".

Forward Unto Dawn follows the franchise's famed Master Chief and his influence over a UNSC cadet who later becomes a leader on the UNSC Infinity spacecraft. The web series will release in five 15-minute weekly installments and offer background information into the plot line of Halo 4.

Microsoft states this is "the next step" for the Halo franchise and could potentially lead to a theatrical feature, despite a failed attempt in 2005 to bring Halo to cinemas.

Further details about the series and cast will be revealed at the upcoming Comic-Con held in San Diego this July.

Cannot wait.

Never really played the Halo games for the story (maybe because I missed Halo:CE - didn't have an xbox).

But I really felt very let down with Halo Reach in terms of multiplayer. It failed to fire and didn't capture that feeling that Halo 3 had.

I really hope Halo 4 brings it, but at the moment I'm not overly pumped for it. I'm sure that will change closer to release tho.

I haven't really played a single Halo game so I really couldn't relate to anyone sharing their experiences. But looking at this video may push to try it out. But I would like to read a few reviews of this game before I take my money out of my pocket for this game.

I liked Halo, pity the others weren't on PC.

I caught up with the storyline(wiki) after watching Forward Unto Dawn (which was excellent). Seems like a fairly decent plot for a video game, pity I haven't been able to play it.

The only 2 decent ones were (are) on PC, too bad H2 was the most pathetic excuse for a port ever.

Reach will have to disagree with you here.

I think I spent more time playing Reach than any of the others, I found the MP better and the challenges were also good.

My experience with Reach (and 3) were pretty much ruined because of the spastic control system of a controller. Reach was also quite stupid, the armour was stupid, I still have all my credits I ever gained. Bought a couple things for achievement, but that's it. Spent more time in Forge than anything else, maybe Firefight. The game went downhill after 343's acquisition of the franchise. Bungie's site was so much better in every way.

Back to the topic. Not sure if I will get Halo 4, seeing as I no longer have an Xbox. Might be able to pry it from my brother for at least a day or two. I wish MS would make / allow keyboard & mouse for Xbox, I know it'd be "cheating", but people use modded controllers all the time, just remove the AA that it's in the game, worked okay for H2. Granted it was poorly done, in the fact Hired Gun were absolutely useless, MS should have got Gearbox to do H2, might have had more success.

I'm giving halo 4 a crack atm, but im about to sell the xbox.

it's a fun multiplayer game, and sadly it could just be soo much more on PC with 120 fps and high response mouse/keyboard. i'm currently using a xim edge to gain mouse/keyboard functionality. very playable, but put on a game like borderlands 2 on pc for 20 seconds and omg you can tell the difference almost immediately.
