my xbox had rrod death yesterday , i turned it on 2day for about 30mins and seemed fin execpt fans were spinning at a really high rpm. should i be worried ? if so what can i do to stop it rrod;ing on me

I've found that sometimes when it RROD's it'll pretend to be fine for a day or so and then break again.

so its still screwed then ?? are those online kits and guides for fixing rrod xoxs any good ?

No idea on that - we got our old RROD fixed by Microsoft. Not sure what the terms are for them to fix it though, my mate handled it all.

mmm i havent got the warranty for this one, its my mates old one he had for years than gave to me and ive had it for like 9 months. but now i think its given up the ghost

does anyone know a good site/kit/guide i can get of the internet to fix it ?

Someone on the forums posted some good ways to fix them. One involved an oven.

Im not sure how though, i dont plan on using it till mine breaks. But what have you got to lose?
