Live issues

Unread postby DarkMellie » 2 Jan 11, 6:43 am

Hiya, it started with BC2 Vietname which I haven't been able to play for a few days. It would disconnent as soon as i started up and then not allow me to reconnect through the guide button. Now it's happening to other games as well.

Weirdly, when i start up, friends avatars and the game they're playing either take forever to load or don't load at all biut there's nothing wrong with the wireless network.

Ideas?

Ran the network connection test and it appeared as a problem with XBL itself. EDIT, reset the router, reran test and live was fine. Started up Mass Effect 2 and disconnected straight away. Still can't see friend's avatars or go to the game marketplace.

That's weird. You running a new 250GB version, and over WLAN?

[edit] Wait, I just saw that you've been online. Problem fixed?

I have this same issue. It started half way through BFBC2's life, about 6-8 months ago. It initially was a case of being dropped from xbox live during a game, then got worse as it wouldn't allow me to stay in party chat upon entering for more than 20 seconds before it dropped me from xbox live. I started to sign-out before the xbox live drop, then sign back in and it would put me back into Party Chat and would be fine until someone else joined the party, it would then boot me from game and live. Currently it is much worse, i'm getting 1-3 bars of 5 (Ping) in AUS SERVERS in Battlefield 3, IF i manage to stay connected to live. I've spoken to Internode tech support and we've concluded that, because i don't actually loose DSL and that my PC is still connected to the internet then it is an XBOX issue. Most likely a fault with the internal ethernet? Either way, i've decided to buy a new XBOX360s. If the new box fix's my issue's i'll let you know.

Cheers,
