Vodafone to be preferred 3G provider for PS Vita

Have fun trying to sell that one Sony.

First AT&T in the US (where the announcement was massively booed at E3) and now Vodafone here in Australia. Do Sony not have staff who research 3G networks and their reputations before signing off on the dotted line?

Again, this proves that accountants run things. Yes, Vodafone is cheaper than Optus and Telstra in general... but the customers won't be happy if they can't get good reception Sony! Would have been happy with the Optus network. I've never had issues.

i dont know about anyone else, but im currently on vodaphone in tasmania,

the coverage and performance has increased substantially over the last few months.

not saying this move wont be unpopular though. not the smartest move by sony.

In both Syd CBD and Parra CBD here in NSW you are lucky to even get standard reception, let alone things like 3G.

Out here in the sticks it's Telstra all the way, everyone I know on Optus **** about reception, and Vodaphone and any others don't even get a mention.

I had a good 18 months with vodafone, then i noticed changes when they merged with 3...since then reception poor, cusomter service worse and website terrible. Promptly moved to optus and loving it.
