What games should i buy (ps3)

Well i have finally purchased a ps3 with Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain and the Move starter pack.

So i would like to know what the must play ps3 games are at the moment any genre other then FPS's because i use my PC for them unless they are ps3 exclusive. I have also played gta4,motorstorm(first one)and resistance fom. So no need to mention them.

Demon's Souls. Been playing through it again since losing my savegame... loving it all over again.

3D Dot Heroes is a great nostalgic trip back to old-school pixelated Jap-RPG fun. Not for everyone, mind you.

God of War 3 (and the remastered Collection for that matter).

Ratchet & Clank, any of the PS3 releases.

I like most game genre's except for fighting games like street fighter, mortal combat etc. I get bored too quickly with them also with sports games like Madden, NBA and the likes.

Heard good things about the Uncharted games, Little Big Planet and Ratchet & Clank. So will most probably be getting them soon, God of War 3 seems very popular aswell so i will check that out. Actually saw Asassin's Creed for $15 at eb games today:/ not sure why i didnt buy it..

Is Motorstorm Pacific Rift any improvement over the first one? I found the first one ok but it got very repetitive after a while. Also whats the go with GTAIV Episodes of Liberty City? is this just a DLC of sorts which needs GTAIV to be playable.

gta:lc on ps3 is a stand alone pack. does not require GTA4.

i would suggest also checking out a the playstation store. a lot of gems can be found there (flower, pixeljunk monsters,etc).
you may also want to sign up for PSN+, its $70 for a year, and you get a whole host of free content (at least 4 games per month). if you sign up for a year at the moment you also get ratchet & clank: quest for booty for free. this will give you a great taste of what psn has to offer, and its only $0.20 a day.

Definitely try out the PS3/console exclusives like Uncharted. The first game is good but the action in the second is better... do play both. Some other tiles not mentioned yet include Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavenly Sword, and Afrika.

If you don't mind last gen gameplay, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom isn't a bad hack n slash for 2 players and Lair isn't a bad dragon riding game now that they've sorted out the controls with a patch. I wouldn't get either unless they were dirt cheap though (I'm talking sub $10).

I'd say the racing is more of the same (I never played the first one) but the second has got 4 player split screen support and the addition of water and fire affecting how long you can speed boost for. I personally prefer the kart racing games (Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing surprising my fav). If you're an old school Sega fan, the Ultimate Mega Drive collection is a nice addition.

If you like racing games, consider waiting for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for arcadey racing or Gran Turismo for driving sim. Both look hot!

So many good games to buy:/ Atleast most of them are pretty cheap now:) I just payed the $70 fee for PSN+ seems reasonable for a years subscription. Plus some upcoming Beta's are looking good;)

I have a heap of demos downloading now and the free Ratchet& Clank game:) They will give me a look at some of the games everyone has recommended.

Just got the $599 combo from jbhifi and got them to throw in Heavy Rain for $40

for some reason it only came to $630 though?? So think they screwed something up when putting it all through:D

Receipt reads as follows:

Also noticed when downloading from PSN it goes up and down in speed, is this the norm? One demo was finished in no time but when another one started its going about half the speed as the previous one:/
