PS3 -> VGA cable

Just wondering if anyone has one of these:



I'm looking to get one, thought I'd see if anyone here is looking to get rid of one. If not I think theres one store that sells them in Australia.

I don't have one,
however a HDMI cable is simply converted to DVI connector without any funky stuff. (HDMI signal is the same as DVI but without the sound.). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Compatibility_with_DVI

So this only works on monitors with DVI connector, (most LCD screens).

To hook up the PS3 with sound you need to use the standard AV cable that comes with the PS3 and plug the sound into some speakers. In the PS3 options where you configure HDMI you can select video through the HDMI and sound out the other. (Sorry haven't need to do this since I was in college a couple of years ago).

I had most of these cables anyway so it didn't cost me much.
