Fresh off the Nintendo Direct event, the Wii U's release date and price have been announced for Australia.
It'll be releasing November 30 - a full 8 days ahead of the Japan release. That's right. Australia is getting a Nintendo console AHEAD of Japan (in before "The Mayans were right", etc).
There will be 2 purchase options for the Wii U.
1. The basic package will be $349.95 and comes with a white console (8GB storage space) and GamePad (the name of the Wii U's tablet like controller).
2. The premium package will be $429.95 and comes with a black console (with 32GB storage) and GamePad, a stand for both the console and GamePad, a GamePad charging cradle, a sensor bar (used for backwards compatibility with Wii peripherals) and Nintendo Land software.
Both packs will include AC adapters for both the console and GamePad and also an HDMI cable.

Also, COD Black Ops 2 was announced for the Wii U and is said to be the best looking of all the console versions. Whether that turns out to be true or not remains to be seen.
