So what now for you in 2010? And beyond?

GT5 has been released and, IMHO, that's the last major release for the PS3 for 2010 (unless I'm missing something). I think there's a few major sequels coming out on PS3 in March 2011 but main one I'm looking forward to is Resistance 3 which has no official release date as yet.

Lately I've found myself googling old games which there is no equivalent of these days. I've still got an old DOS copy of Descent 2 somewhere, Descent 3 hardly ran on my PC at the time and neither did Forsaken... those games were some time ago. I think it's about time another zero-G shooter came out. Those games always did seem to work well on the controllers with dual analog sticks (pretty standard these days) and would be a nice break from all the military shooters.

With modern day 3D engines capable of more organic looking environments, a modern day zero-G shooter could be less prone to monotony. Throw in online multiplay, 4 player split screen, co-op, and an option of bots and there will be something to keep almost everyone happy.

What are you looking forward to... planned release or otherwise?

Next game I am buying that's exclusive, Little Big Planet 2! January 18.

But as for this year, I might trade some games to pick up NFS Hot Pursuit, don't have many racing titles and it looks fun.

It is. I've had a go of the PC version at a friend's place and the game really takes NFS back to it's roots (in a very Burnout kind of way but who wasn't expecting that). You pretty much get a new car or something after every event which keeps things fresh. The freeroam is also nice... driving through the beautiful environments can be quite soothing (just need a fan to blow at your hair to simulate that convertible sensation).

I've been thinking of picking up a copy too but I think I might just wait for it to be cheap on Ozgameshop... so you've got a head start to get a good place on the Autolog charts ;-)

I traded in 3 games to get Hot Pursuit for free. Love it.

Great fun.

Currently not many games on the horizon for me. KZ3 is out but I have no time to play it with my bro as we both are into the swing of studying so we're just gonna wait for it to get cheap. inFamous 2 looks nice but not a quick buy for me. Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 are way off, as is the next Ratchet and Clank game. Will probably look at getting Mortal Kombat from overseas. LOTR War in the North and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier are the two games mid year releases I'm most looking forward to.
