currently the full rotation (29) server has cs_assault in the rotation. Assault is not a map designed for 32 players. With 16 people a side and only 4 entrances that all favour the t's getting the first pick, it leads to the map being bloody boring. Every single round all the t's camp, and all the cts camp, which draws out every single round till the timer stops...leading to some very exciting source....

GET RID OF IT

Assault has always been a "boring" map because people care way too much. Cts should learn to flash/smoke the front and rush as a team. Sneak a few in the back the same way and it makes for a fun map.

Im in agreement - I think it should be removed.

this is a public server and people aren't going to do as the megaleet monkey suggested - its just reality.

Consequently, everything does get drawn out substantially especially when everyone finally has their precious awps which the guard in their little corners

Verdict: please remove the map as I am sure there is already GoN assault servers anyways

definately wait on the results of the poll though

i promise you i know how to flash and smoke...the rest of the server usually wont....and its pub, trying to coordinate a bunch of mindless twats is quite difficult....
And you can't sneak anyone through anywhere, theres 16 t's guarding 4 entrances (rollar, both doors and vents)...you do the math.

It is a terribly stacked map when it comes to 16v16. simple.

It's a legacy map back from before anyone had any ideas about map balance or game balance.

Should be removed, but for some reason people seem to really enjoy imbalanced maps, but only if they are on the side with the advantage.

its basically a map with 16 very happy campers, about 10 campers and 6 very irritated rushers :)

I like being on cts on assault as it presents a challange that can only be overcomed by immense teamwork. You really have to work for victory making it so much better when you do actually win.

As anyone knows who plays 32 rotation regularly I am there and always play on the harder team, I dred assualt. I think through the whole map you play about 5 rounds all going to T unless the ct's first round win.

I would like to see assualt taken off also, But there is nothing to replace that map with. Before assualt goes, the admins need to think long and hard about removing De_dust 2, and Cs_Office. There are enough dedicated servers (by demand)on the games on net servers, why put it in full rotation?

Because it's 'full rotation'... It's not 'server with maps some of the community like'

I personally like it either way. Although I haven't played CSS much in the last few months.

I think on Cs_assualt the roles should be reversed, Ct's start inside with hosties and need to get them out to a spawn point it probably wouldn't change the whole camping situation but would be pretty fun!

CT's would just camp it out. No point in trying to change it around.

I know that players on a public server really don't give a hoot about team work and just want to muck around but as Crazy man said... It only requires team work and a little dedication to win on assault.

But for the poll... I have to admit. it is a small map.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

...you guys keep on saying with teamwork you can win.....yes thats true for any map but it's pub so most players really couldnt give two **** about using teamwork. Take it from the people that actually play the server regularly like kenz

It's true, You might have lets say, One person spamming mic calling lets rush garage door, So we do it fails because T's camp inside 24/7 maybe the odd T rushes out the garage door to pick with awp.
Then it's rush side doors so you rush side door's and you can't get in because you're being spammed through the metal and every time you open the door you get picked. You can utilize you're smokes and smoke the door then throw some flashes in but by the time you are in there is no hope.

Swap Militia for assualt for a trial ?

Militia has been removed due to not enough spawn points and me not reading up on how to add more then get it changed.

Ill remove the map if enough people agree, so when you are all in server link them to the thread and let them know if they want it removed they need to tell me here :)
