Description

The air is foul and corporate fascism reigns in the not too distant future. Somewhere in the North American Union you are Myo Hyori, an 18 year-old girl of Korean descent who has had enough. Oh and you can start fires- with your mind. This makes your corporate owners very nervous... hide detail -

GENRE
Supernatural science fiction with a dash of horror. Slow and eerie in the first three or so hours, more action heavy afterwards.

All new content. This is a total conversion- it does not take place in the Half Life universe.

REQUIREMENTS
If you can play Half Life 2 you can probably play this.
Since I am not using Half Life 2 assets, you may be able to play G String just with the Source SDK Base 2006 installed.

INSTRUCTIONS
Download RAR files.
Extract to your steam\steamapps\sourcemods folder.
Play.

NOTES
I hope you will enjoy becoming Myo for a while. I also hope you won't run into any problems while playing. Please keep in mind that I am one girl and it took me five years to make this. You may reuse all the assets in the mod such as props, textures, sounds in any way except for projects produced for financial gain.

I may or may not port the mod to a later version of the Source engine. It depends on whether you guys like it or not. And of course I'll have to upgrade my rig first. If there is a G String 0.2, it won't happen anytime soon as along with porting it I also want to implement new things and augment the existing experience. In the meantime enjoy what is, considering my limitations it came out fairly well I think. I wanted it out there because I don't know what the future holds for me personally and for the world at large.

ISSUES THAT MIGHT COME UP
Not much of an issue but I'll mention that the volume is set to 0 when you start so adjust it to your liking before starting a new game.
Sometimes the "SMG" primary ammo does not display- just switch to another weapon with bullets like the pistol then switch back to "SMG."
After emerging from the robot cemetery, on the top floor there is a level transition which might not trigger- load the last quicksave.
