Description
Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast by Raven Software - Mac retail v1.0.3c patch

This is an official update for Jedi Knight II. It will fully update any previous version of Jedi Knight II to version 1.03 / 1.04 Rev C. It is recommended for all users.

This update contains the following changes:

- Jedi Knight II is now a universal binary. Mods that use code DLLs will likely have to be rebuilt as Xcode-based universal binaries.

- Now uses Apple's version of OpenAL, which allows for true 3D audio.

Update: Jedi Knight II, version 1.0.3b

Issue

This update fixes and improves a number of things, see below for more details. To install it, just copy the new applications into your game folder (one application each for single player and multi-player).

Discussion

What update v1.0.3b does:

- Fixed visal glitch with About box
- Added 'carb' resource for GameRanger
- Fixed stability issues when switching maps or loading levels - hopefully for real this time.
- MP app no longer draws the background to the Mac console window improperly on 10.3.x.

What update v1.0.1 does:

- Fixed KP_EQUALS in the key binding.
- Fixed "invalid enumerant" error when running on an older version of the Mac OS with older ATI drivers.
- Holding down the shift key when launching the game will now prompt for a command-line.
- Users with one-button mice now have the option to map ctrl-clicks as the second mouse button. This is useful mainly for the force-powers configuration screen in the multiplayer app, where right-clicking subtracts force points. To change this setting, hold down the option or command keys when launching the multiplayer app.
- Mac JK2 didn't tolerate buggy 3rd party mods very well. Loosened this up a bit, and as a result the Dark Forces mod should now work properly if placed in the regular mod location of ~/Library/Application Support/Jedi Knight II
- Fixed crashing issue when automatically downloading custom maps in the MP app.
- Fixed sporadic crashing when loading a level.
