Games On Net chats about StarCraft II with Dustin Browder
Still at BlizzCon 2009, we got the opportunity to spend some time with the Lead Designer of StarCraft II, Dustin Browder. You might remember him from such Blizzard projects as the StarCraft II Battle Reports, where he is one of the announcers. Let me tell you, the man can talk.

The weekend didn't really hold too much in the way of big StarCraft II news, so we decided to get Dustin to talk us through some more details about the new Battle.net service which is due to launch with the game, "When it's done".

Games On Net chats to J Allen Brack about WoW: Cataclysm
While at BlizzCon 2009 in Anaheim recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with J Allen Brack, who is currently Director, Production at World of Warcraft. Obviously, given the news that came out of the convention, our conversation focussed largely on the freshly-announced expansion pack for the game, the as-yet undated Cataclysm.

We chatted about the new playable races, the impending Big Bang that's due to hit the game as we know it, a bit about the lore and how they're not messing it up, and we touch briefly on PvP and the prettification of the game, with Brack offering his side of the Australian server debate (he's all for them, by the way).

Day 2: What we got up to at BlizzCon 2009
Well, BlizzCon is over for another year, and while it came in with a pop of pyrotechnics, it's gone out with a roar, thanks to the one and only Ozzy Osbourne (the only mortal to successfully challenge Arthas for the title of Prince of Darkness). My ears are still ringing, but I'm here to let you know just what we got up to during Day 2 of this celebration of all things Blizzard.

To summarise briefly: we caught up with the pro-gaming situation, watched StarCraft exhibition matches, checked out the new World of Warcraft magazine, spent a bit of time in the retro arcade... and generally wandered aimlessly through the four halls of the Convention Center, along with 20,000 other gamers.

Day 1: What we got up to at BlizzCon 2009
As UgLyPuNk mentioned earlier today, we are indeed over here in California for BlizzCon 2009. Games On Net spent the day on the show floor, running around and checking out the various cosplayers, looking at the artwork on display, guessing which attendees are actually pro-gamers, and generally having a bit of a great time.

In case you've been enjoying your time under that rock, BlizzCon is an almost-annual celebration of all things Blizzard, taking elements from their three major gaming franchises, StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft (of course, not ignoring World of Warcraft). It's two days, 20,000 people, a convention center and a lot of fun.

BlizzCon Opening Ceremony - Live from Anaheim
Well, here we are in sunny California for the fourth celebration of all things Blizzard! That's right, BlizzCon is upon us for another year, and this time around we're expecting some big news from the worlds of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo, not to mention the changes that are in store for Battle.net.

If you missed it, we sat through the Opening Ceremony so you didn't have to - and if you missed it, trust me: you missed out.
We were expecting an announcement about the next Diablo III class, and we got that: the Monk.
We wanted news on what was happening in WoW, and we got that: the next expansion pack, Cataclysm! Not only is it looking like it will literally change the game's landscape, but it also introduces Goblins and Worgen!
