Last week, one of our most popular downloads was the demo for an interesting-sounding FPS called NecroVisioN. Sure, everybody likes FPS, particularly ones that involve both WWI settings and a "dark and brutal underground world" full of demons and vampires, but the demo was in French! After an action-packed few weeks, it's really nice to be able to sit down and relax properly this weekend. If you haven't yet picked up this amazing RTS where the Berlin Wall never fell, now's your chance. How can it be another weekend already? Sometimes, I really love my job - and it's not all computer games and puppies! Today, I was given the arduous task of listening to one of our streaming radio stations (also accessible through the sidebar over there - and totally free bandwidth for Internode customers), to "check for bugs". That means I've been rockin' out all day to the somewhat random collection of music that passes as Sky.FM - Indie Rock. Apparently their interpretation of 'indie' is a little flexible, I've heard Nirvana, Oasis, Good Charlotte and Kula Shaker today, and they're currently playing Jet. Still, I'm not complaining, it's made the day much more enjoyable.

I have some news for you. As a result of his birthday yesterday our illustrious leader UgLyPuNk broke away from the shackles which bind him to our service, and has decided to run away to join the circus, giving up his life of programming and slaving away at our ever precious games network. Chienne has also followed him, in the hope that UgLyPuNk can be persuaded to return.

I've spent the better part of this week hanging out on a farm. Technically, I'm dog/chicken/duck/alpaca/horse/sheep/housesitting, but I've managed to make it into a bit of a holiday, too. I've been relaxing, watching lots of music television, flying little planes and generally having a ball - except for having to get up early to go feed the chooks and ducks.
