It's nearly time for the annual crush, when gamers frantically try to make three months' salary stretch to the year's worth of releases that publishers insist on cramming into the holiday season. You know what that means; developers are desperately pushing their games through to meet deadlines. In a few weeks time, the only way you'll see more gold is if you were ... you know, at a bank ... or something. Do banks still have gold, or was that 1835?
Anyway, Forza Motorsport 3 has, um, gone gold. And there's a demo coming!

Being a gamer doesn't necessarily mean being a penny-pinching old Scrooge, but our hobby doesn't always come cheap, what with high resolution displays, quality accessories, decent sound, multiple platforms, the games themselves... That's why a big flashing "free stuff" sign is a fairly good method of attracting my attention, at least. This week marks the start of the holiday video game release season. It’s a time when reviewers are drip-fed Red Bull and have their eyes pried open ala Clockwork Orange to bring you the skinny on the latest and greatest games, where wallet pillaging and credit card abuse are par for the course, and when time spent with loved ones is a rare commodity. Surely they will understand that Batman, Cloud and Mitsurugi need love too.
Don’t forget to check out the full release schedule for the latest changes and information on upcoming games.

The guys and girls at SuperCar Challenge understand that not everybody can get to the track for this year's British Formula One Grand Prix (which kicks off shortly!), so they've stepped up to the plate and included a Silverstone circuit in their upcoming racer, due out this month exclusively for PS3.
To show off what they've been up to, we have two videos - a tour of the track, and a little clip they like to call Public vs Silverstone... that is, what happens when you get a member of the general public to try out the new race track. Check 'em out - and go Sebastian Vettel in tonight's race!

The roar of engines is growing steadily louder as Supercar Challenge races towards release day. Offering arcade action for those that just love to tear up the tarmac, and a deeper simulation experience for the true petrol-heads amongst us, Supercar Challenge offers more than twenty different locations ranging from classic circuits like Silverstone and Spa to modern favourites such as Nürbergring and Mugello, and completely imaginary but no doubt equally edge-of-your-seat tracks like French Riviera. More to the point, there are over forty drool-worthy machines to get your hands on!
