FLOCK! Update! Steam! Now!
I do like it when a developer describes a game update as being "exciting". So many times, updates can be dull, lifeless, necessary procedures - it's nice when one occasionally bucks the trend.

Today, that trend is well and truly bucked by FLOCK!. Not only is the game title in all-caps and with an exclamation mark, but the update is full of really cool stuff. It adds rabbits! It adds burrowing tunnels! It adds a giant carrot! How can you not like that? (It also adds a new campaign and some level editor tweaks, by the way.)

If you want to grab all this goodness, it's a simple matter of restarting your Steam client - and the fun will start downloading automagically!

Flock PC demo ''moo''-ves onto mirror
With the price of games only seeming to increase, many of us are loathe to part with out precious pennies except for guaranteed, tried-and-tested formulae. And there's nothing wrong with that, except that it has the unfortunate side-effect of scaring already nervous developers and publishers into refusing to touch anything with even a hint of difference attached to it. So even when a major publisher like Capcom, who can probably manage to absorb a few flops, goes out on a limb, you have to applaud their efforts. Still not willing to give up your cash? Well, alright, you cheap mother-flockers (risqué game terms ahoy), there's no more excuses; a PC demo for the delightful Flock! has hit the mirror. Virtual fisticuffs have broken out worldwide as various nations make "hur-hur" sheep jokes at each other's expense.

Coming Attractions - 08/04/2009
Easter’s coming up this weekend, but it doesn’t look like the video game publishers of Australia are in a rush to release anything new for the extra long weekend. The Godfather II, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor and Puzzle Quest: Galactrix should be able to hold the interest of anyone looking for something new this week, but the rest of us can look forward to spending time with a few of the recently released big hitters like Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4

Don’t forget to check out the full release schedule for the latest changes and information on upcoming games.

Flock! Now available on PC and Xbox 360 - PS3 version to come soon
If you've ever wanted to herd animals in a UFO, now is your chance. Capcom have announced that Flock! is now available on the PC, and the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 version to arrive with the next PlayStation Store update.

In Flock! players are placed in control of a UFO, which is tasked with herding a variety of animals to the mother ship. This takes place over a number of levels, where the player will need to overcome the stubbornness of adorable sheep, solve physics based puzzles, and engage in a race against the clock for "hidden bonuses" and extended game play.

Now Playing (10/03/2009)
Welcome this week's instalment of Now Playing, where we take your hand and lead you into a darkened theatre. Inside, you'll see the most irresistibly interesting, marvellously magnificent, or downright dire trailers from recently released or upcoming games.

This week, we embark on a rage-filled journey to a certain-town, then speculate upon some cold war rivalry, next, we go on a dance-floor date with Stalin and then attempt to bat-away circular, inevitable war before finally relaxing by rounding up sheep in the atomic aftermath that follows.

Xbox 360 celebrates the Days of Arcade
Last year saw Xbox celebrating The Arcade Winter, "five fantastic arcade games" released over five weeks in July and August. Rather than waiting another six months for that time to come again, they've jumped the gun in spectacular fashion, announcing the Days of Arcade - pretty much the same as we saw before, but bigger!

The promotion runs over the next six weeks, starting March 18th with Hasbro Family Game Night. It's all shrouded in surprise and mystery at this point, but we've scrounged together some of the details for you, including just what games are on offer.

Now Playing - a bit delayed - (13/01/09)
With the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) finishing up over the weekend, there were a heap of trailers heading our way. While CES may only be an electronics show, some of the big guns in gaming appear every year to bring out some more information and trailers on some of their upcoming projects.

What will we see this week? For starters there is a Fallen Earth and a smaller Resistance. Some more fights in the street that people are flocking too. Not to be outdone, we head to the skies once again and meet someone who is InFamous in his world.

Flock! - Capcom's mysterious title flocking to reveal itself
Last week Chienne reported that Capcom's E3 line up had a few surprises, one of those being this mysterious title called Flock. We all pondered over what it could possible be and well I'm glad to say the mystery has been solved!

With a handy little fact sheet and some videos, Flock is actually a puzzle platformer flocking to the PSN and Xbox Live. Players control a UFO with a mission to herd animals to the mothership. Weird? Yes, but this is one misguided farm game that looks puzzling as well as entertaining.
