Six months after the release of Beta 2.0, those pesky Pirates, Vikings and Knights II modding kids have done it again, with tonight's release of Beta 2.2!
We have two options of the Half-Life 2 mod - you can grab the standalone 2.2 Client - or, if you're already on the latest version, just upgrade from 2.1-2.2.
The update is mainly a bug fix patch, with a handful of new features thrown in, too. If you want to know more about PVKII, take a wander through our file library, or just download the mod (all you need is a copy of HL2) and join in a server!

It was around this time last year that Pirates, Vikings and Knights II released the v1.1 Beta of their HL2 mod. After 12 months of hard work, they're now very proud to announce that the 2.0 Beta is ready to play!
Now, I know that the age-old question is whether you are a Pirate or a Ninja, but apparently these Knights and Vikings are something to watch out for, too! If you want in on the action, you need a copy of Steam, any Source game installed, and a copy of the Source SDK Base, available if you have the other two bits. Then - of course - grab the 2.0 Beta Client, and you're set!

Many of you will remember Pirates, Vikings and Knights II, a creative little mod for Half-Life 2.
Since the launch of their v1.1 beta back in January, the devs have been hard at work to craft a release they hope will be even bigger and better! They've been concentrating on the new classes and weapons, and overhauling the combat and movement systems of the game.
We've got news for you about the new systems - and an introduction to three new classes!

The age-old question of course, is whether you are a pirate or a ninja. A bunch of HL2 modders got together and, apparently, got a little confused - deciding that ninjas weren't the real threat, but instead, you had to keep an eye out for Pirates, Vikings and Knights!
They're so convinced that these three teams are where it's at, that they've released the new Beta version of their game for your delectation. You can grab the 1.1 Beta or the 1.0-1.1 incremental, and get playing amongst the islands of the Caribbean, the Viking northlands, and the plains of Medieval Europe - not to mention maps based on myths and legends. They're even offering a competition for you to design your own map, if that's your thing.
