Black Ops collector's editions revealed - Insane Prestige Edition ahoy!

When Modern Warfare 2 hit shelves with fully functioning night vision goggles for last year's Prestige Edition it appeared like the bar had been raised to an impossible standard. Call of Duty: Black Ops is on its way and that bar has now been raised once again.

So how do you top night vision goggles? By including a fully working remote controlled surveillance vehicle inspired by the RC-XD that's how!

The RC-XD is the delicious looking perk you might have spyed in the multiplayer teaser trailer, allowing you to guide a small remote controlled car filled with C4 goodness behind enemy lines for maximum 'splosions!

The vehicle included with the Prestige Edition sadly lacks in the C4 department but touts a range of up to 200 feet and sports a fully-functioning remote camera that transmits both TFT color video and audio to its operator. Somehow I see these making front page headlines for all the wrong reasons upon release...

If you don't feel like going all out, a Hardened Edition is on offer once again, which includes a custom Black Ops limited edition medal, an exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit and four playable cooperative maps. Prestige Edition owners will get the full contents of the Hardened Edition package with their purchase.

The Prestige Edition is extremely limited and judging by EB Games will be priced at $228. Sadly PC Gamers miss out once again as the Prestige Edition will only be hitting PS3 and Xbox 360.

Between the ridiculous special editions on the way with Dead Rising 2, Gran Turismo 5 and Halo: Reach, it's looking to be one hell of an expensive way to end the year. My credit card is crying out in pain as we speak!
