Alien vs Predator Refused Classification in Australia
The upcoming first person shooter, Alien vs Predator has been refused classification in Australia. Reasons for this are not yet known, but we are investigating and will tell you why as soon as we find out. Stay tuned for more information.

Update
We were at Sega's office this morning, conducting an interview for Napoleon Total War, when the Sega PR manager, Vispi Bhopti, informed us of the RC. Apparently Sega were informed overnight of the decision. Mr Bhopti informed us that it's likely that the planned Australian version will still be available for sale in New Zealand, due to the fact NZ has an R18 rating. However, the game has not been rated in NZ yet, so this is by no means guaranteed.

We're expecting a statement from Sega to hit our inbox any minute now., which we'll share with you as soon as it lands

An official statement from Sega responding has been released:
SEGA Australia can today confirm that the initial submission of Aliens vs Predator has been Refused Classification by the Classification Operations Board of Australia. We will continue to investigate all options available to us, including the possibility of appeal
