Radio? Does that even still exist? It certainly does, and the ABC's Radio National service remains an important part of many Australians' engagement with political matters.

Everyone's favourite anti-R18 Attorney General Michael Atkinson turned up on the airwaves a few days ago to speak on the subject, where his comments were met by Gamers4Croydon's David Doe.

The South Australian Attorney General reiterated earlier comments disparaging Gamers4Croydon's political aspirations and statistics indicating wide support for an R18 rating, as well as pointing out that "games such as the Wii" are perfectly enjoyable.

Mr Doe responded by getting directly to the point with a quote one could almost put on a T-shirt:

"He has made it clear that he is immune to popular public support, scientific research and reasoned argument.”

Not a lot of resolution there, but it's nice to see the dissenting voice getting some airplay and coming across as reasonable, informed, and equally concerned for the protection of youngsters.
