New political party seeks to dethrone Atkinson
A new political party has been formed with a single issue, and a single purpose: to run a candidate against Michael Atkinson in next year's South Australia state election.

Gamers4Croydon founder David Doe sees this as the only way to give Australian gamers a ratings system in line with rest of the civilised world.

Fight the power!
"The entire purpose of this site is to have the R18+ classification rating added to the ratings currently allowed for videogames in Australia. There a number of ways to do this, but the most straightforward is to place political pressure on the South Australian Attorney General, Michael Atkinson, as he is currently the only Attorney General voting 'no' on the issue of an R18+ rating for videogames. This is despite overwhelming evidence that the average age of gamers in Australia is 29 and above, and despite evidence that a majority of Australians support an R18+ rating for videogames."

If you wish to learn more, volunteer your support, or help Gamers4Croydon financially, then head on over to the official site.

Defeating Atkinson won't be easy -- in the last election, the obstructionist Attorney General got 76% of the vote, after preferences, a margin Doe admits could be hard to overcome.

"We are going to have an uphill battle here folks."
