More not-so-wonderful news for Steam owners of Borderlands today. While the Australian version in the Steam store has been fixed, replaced by the full violence, decapitation-friendly version of the game, owners will need to download the entire 8GB all over again.
Read on for a statement from 2k's local press-bot, Snezana Stojanovska.
So there you have it folks, another 8GB off your download limit, unless you're with an ISP who has a steam server. You know, like those awesome guys over at Internode. Cough.
It's times like these that it's hard to be a PC gamer. Stay tuned for our review tomorrow, where we decide whether or not the PC version is the definitive version of the game. In the meantime, why don't you watch the Aussie trailer one more time?

"We'd like to confirm that the Australian version of Borderlands is not censored in any way. This applies to all platforms and distribution methods, including Steam. Because of an internal mix-up an incorrect version of the game was available to preload on Steam for a brief period of time. This version has since been replaced. We're asking everybody who has downloaded the Australian version of Borderlands previously to delete the local content and re-download the game to ensure that they have the proper files. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."
