In light of the commercial success of Blood Bowl, Cyanide Studio has revealed that a new playable team will be available next month: the Dark Elves. This free download will bring with it new model designs, animations, and cheerleaders, adding to an already richly detailed game of fantasy sports strategy.

"Dark Elves combine Elven agility with a cruel brutality. They are perfectly at ease playing the ball or crushing skulls with their callous fists. Furthermore, their Witch Elves excel in that field, as long as they don't get caught up in the euphoria of battle! Dark Elves are masters of deception and can also call upon deadly Assassins to instill fear (and the cold blade of a dagger!) in their adversaries' heart."

The Dark Elves will join the existing playable teams of Humans, Wood Elves, Dwarfs, Orcs, Goblins, Skaven, Lizardmen, and Chaos.

A special edition including the new content will appear soon at retail, and the whole lot will be available down the track as a paid download.
