What is Will Wright up to?

Once, we hailed him as our deliverer - and then we kind of got over it, but designer Will Wright still intrigues. He left former employers EA to form the Stupid Fun Club in April, and now we're finally getting some insight into what's going on at Wright Central Station, namely three new titles.

Playing his cards uncharacteristically close, Will hasn't given a great deal away, but if you're on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" side of the innovation debate, you may not be so keen on the snippets revealed so far:
"We are taking the games industry into other areas ... Games are limited in some ways. Play can be applied to so many different kinds of experiences ... (Console and casual gaming) are both experiences where you sit in front of the screen. They're very structured activities. I'm thinking much broader than that."
Usually when this sort of stuff gets spouted, somebody ends up with the equivalent of waggling a WiiMote!

When Spore wasn't up to the incredibly high level of enthusiasm early commentary inspired, many finally relinquished their faith in the Sims creator. But like the similarly-hyperbolas Peter Molyneaux, Will Wright seems to be buzzing with revolutionary ideas, which might not always make it to execution... but are exciting for the future of the industry none the less.

More details, please? We shouldn't have to wait much longer; apparently one of these three intrigue-shrouded titles could be on shelves within a year. That seems pretty speedy; must be all the extra staff from the Maxis cutbacks taken into the Stupid Fun Club fold by their former boss.
