We'll assume you're familiar with Hitman, but if you haven't checked out Defense Grid: The Awakening yet we strongly recommend a look, even if it's just at the trial version on XBLA.
As with all tower defence games it's all about setting up the right ordinance to smash the thieving marauders before they run off with your, in this case, power cores. It's surprisingly immersive, and later levels are as punishing as they are hectic.
With both games available for US$9.99 there are certainly worse things to spend your money on.
