Flight of the Conchords Rock Band release confirmed

I don't suppose you watched the Emmy Awards? No? Pity. If you had, you might have enjoyed the spectacle of a baffled interviewer trying to cope with the appearance of NZ comedy musos, Flight of the Conchords, who had apparently broken through security to stand on the red carpet. Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement surprised viewers by announcing their upcoming Rock Band, when asked to comment on The Beatles: Rock Band.

Understandably, given the duo's deadpan performances, there was some speculation that the announcement was a joke, but label Sup Pop Records have confirmed the intel.

Three tracks have been promised, including one from the upcoming album I Told You I Was Freaky. Speaking to Team Teabag, Sub Pop say they're aiming for an October 20th release via the Rock Band Network.

Exactly which tracks we're going to get hold of hasn't been revealed. I'm plumping for Hiphopopotamus Vs Rhymenocerous.
