Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce coming to PS3, Xbox 360

![]() A situation like this has me completely stymied. |
Thank goodness! It looks like we'll be seeing the game on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, with a bevy of party members just a modem away.
Known in Japanese as "Multiraid Special" ("Multiraid" being Strikeforce's local title), the game was revealed to the Western world by the busy fellows at Koei America's PR office, who spend a lot of time on Twitter, usually pointing out incomprehensible Japanese articles.
I understand why Strikeforce, like Monster Hunter Freedom unite, is incredibly popular in a country half the people on the bus have PSPs, and half of those will have the same game as you. Things aren't as much fun outside of Japan, unfortunately, and the ability to connect to distant players via the playstation network or Xbox LIVE is a definite bonus for a game that relies so heavily on powerful group play.
A Japanese video of the game in action shows a very similar graphical feel to Dynasty Warriors 6 and Empires, with, of course, the added bonus of intense Strikeforce pyrotechnics. Another pleasing addition is the return of Empires' extra character, Meng Huo, who sports a fetching tail in his Super Saiyan form.
The port has only been confirmed for Japanese release so far, and Koei are notorious for keeping the best versions of their games in their home territories, but if you really, really want to connect to other people who like repeatedly smacking enemies while flouncing around in decorative outfits, then cross your fingers for a PAL release!
