Want to sign up to the beta test for the upcoming massively multiplayer first-person shooter MAG? Well, there's good news, and there's bad news.

The good news: PS3 gamers still have a whole week to register, and with 16,000 beta keys up for grabs, there's a pretty good chance you can still take advantage of this opportunity to make gaming history.

"It's like 9/11 times 100!"

The bad news: the beta will only be open six hours a day, Monday to Friday -- 5pm to 8pm, and midnight to 3am Greenwich Mean Time. That's great if you're English, but for Sydney-siders, that means playing between 3am and 6am, or 10am and 1pm -- right in the middle of the day.

Everyone needs to sleep. Ergo, if you want to try the MAG beta for yourself, then you'll have to structure your entire life around it, possibly even wagging out on your existing commitments to school and/or work.

It remains to be seen if MAG will be worth that kind of sacrifice...
