Matt Keller - Our busy reviewer
This weekend will be spent rediscovering the world of Tallon IV in the reworked version of Metroid Prime from the new Metroid Prime Trilogy pack. The game still looks amazing after all these years, and few games in the years since can match its atmosphere – I’ve been looking for an excuse to replay the game for a few years, and this is as good a reason as any. Also on the cards at this stage is a trip back to the world of Deus Ex: Invisible War in the name of research for an upcoming Warp Pipe, a bit more time with Paul, John, George and Ringo in The Beatles: Rock Band, and a whole lot of moping about over my recently RROD’d Xbox 360.

After a week spent in my office chair, I am seriously looking forward to visiting other regions of my house over the next few days, viz, the bed (for glorious sleeping) and the couch (for glorious gaming). I'm still Mass Effect-ing, but looking forward to enacting some slash fantasies with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. I might also continue the PSP love with Silent Hill: Shattered Origins, which was gifted to me last week, and which I had to put in the wardrobe when it got too scary.

With no real assignments due next week, and the high probability of industrial action at uni on Wednesday, I'll be hoping that Wednesday continues to go ahead as normal, because 100% of my social life is uni, and Wednesday is 50% of it! I'll be trying to find some time to play through Heroes of Might and Magic 2: Gold (for a secret reason that will make itself apparent soon) and, if I get time, I will play some Battleforge, and maybe even some World in Conflict...

When I'm not playing the "Discover Sydney's Tourist attractions, whilst not looking like a shifty terrorist scoping out IED opportunities" due to the arrival of a relative from Perth, I'll be trying to polish off Batman. Playing it on hard is definitely the way to go - ten hours in and I'm still only at 30% completion. Then I'll be taking a little trip back to WWII (a period of history I've spent a lot of time learning about), strapping myself into the cockpit of IL2 Sturmovik (Xbox 360) that I picked up during the week. The brief flight I've already had was very pretty, but the head tracking and HOTAS that I use on PC was sorely missed. Once I've parachuted out of the big blue skies, it's time to get down and dirty with the Forgotten Hope 2 mod, which makes most retail games look like high-school projects. Read the review here.
What are you guys up to this weekend? Are you ashamed to call us your news bots with the almost complete lack of The Beatles: Rock Band, which is obviously the biggest release this week?
