Dante's Inferno will be scored by BioShock composer

Sound plays a really important role in games, and the use of audio, especially music, can increase the impact of an extremely emotive segment of a game by a great deal. One man who happens to be very good at making noises that punctuate gameplay events very well happens to be Garry Schyman, who will be contributing his talents to EA's upcoming take on hell, Dante's Inferno.

Even if you haven't heard of Garry Schyman, you are probably familiar with his work. Schyman contributed his talents to BioShock, for which he was given an Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design award, which is quite special.

The game's score was recorded in the UK, and uses orchestral arrangements and a choir to create a perfect mood for the game. EA plan to release the music as an album in 2010, that can be purchased separately from the game. The game will be available on the PS3, PSP and the Xbox 360.
