Weekend Playlist

Strangely enough, many of the faces behind games.on.net actually play games. Amazing, we know. With the weekend fast approaching, let’s delve into the private playrooms of these folks to see what games they choose to play when they’re not pouring the essence of their souls into your favourite gaming site.
Matt Keller – Reviewer Extraordinaire
“I’ll mainly be cracking skulls, free flow style in Batman: Arkham Asylum, but I think I might reinstall Battlefield 2. I’ve been on a self-imposed exile from Battlefield 2 for ages, but the 1.5 patch and a cheap copy I found in a bargain bin last year give me a good reason to come back. Expect to score a few easy kills off my useless hide.”
Brenna Hillier – European Correspondent
“Many moons ago I had a Mass Effect save file… and now I do not. This weekend will be spent beginning the slow process of rectifying this fault so I have a lovely shiny platform for Shepard to launch herself from come Mass Effect 2. That's assuming I don't succumb to achievement-whore temptation and devote myself to attaining the platinum trophy in Batman: Arkham Asylum instead...”
Steven Perdikis – Resident Academic and RTS Robot
“I'll be slaving over a hot keyboard, pulling my hair out painstakingly while editing 1080p footage. Hopefully I don't end up being putting on a show of colossal failure at Uni on Wednesday when I'm supposed to present the work that I've been "doing". I hope my lecturers don't read this.”
Bennett Ring – Chief Noob
“Apart from a brief fling with FieldRunners last night (my first ever attempt at a Tower Defense title, don’t tell anybody), I haven’t played a game all week. As a result, I’m frothing at the mouth to walk a mile in the boots of everybody’s favourite Dark Knight. The demo had me the moment I enabled detective X-ray mode, and the fact that Batman: Arkham Asylum keeps getting mentioned alongside greats such as BioShock and Dead Space suggest I’m in for one hell of a zip-line powered ride.
I’ll also be firing up my shiny new Wheelstand Pro, which arrived in the post this week from Poland, in anticipation of DiRT2, Forza 3 and GT5.
Finally, as a reformed Battlefield 2 addict, the lure of playing the add-ons free, courtesy of the new patch may prove too tempting to resist. I swear I’ll only play it this one weekend, for old time’s sake…”
As you can see, the bat symbol will be shining brightly over the Internode office this weekend. Will you be tempted to save the citizens of Gotham city from the Joker? Or have you got better ways to waste your precious weekend?
