F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - latest DLC is out, new PC patch follows
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is still alive and kicking, even though most of us have probably un-installed the PC version of the game by now. If you haven't (or own the game on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360) you'll be pleased to know that the latest downloadable content for the game is now available.

To celebrate the occasion, and to entice you to spend your money, a new trailer has been released, featuring semi-corny voice acting that seems to be a thinly veiled post-processing job. In any case, as we've previously reported, if you think that your money is something that you'd rather keep, you can always download the demo before forking out the for the content itself.

Those of you who do happen to still have the PC version installed, you'll be happy to know that an update for the game has been released through Steam, which adds support for the new content, and gives a free, new Slow Mo Death Match multiplayer game mode.

Other new features / fixes in the PC patch are as follows:

  • Fixed a bug in which some audio stopped playing when exiting the EPA
  • Fixed a bug in which the user could get stuck at an encounter with Alma in an elevator in the Nurse's Office mission. This not only prevents the bug from occurring on first play through, but also allows players stuck by this bug to continue successfully
  • Fixed a crash that occurred if a save was conducted while entering the EPA
  • Fixed a bug in which missiles that flew for too long were incorrectly slowing down
  • Fixed an issue in which pressing start on the Edit Loadout screen prevented loadouts from being edited again
  • Adjusted balance between 2d and 3d sounds
