Hurrah!

This past week everyone's been jut a leetle preoccupied with other MMO news, and things have been a bit quiet on the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning front - so much so that it had completely slipped my mind that we are fast approaching its one year anniversary!

Happy Birthday, WAR! Congratulations, Mythic! And general "hurrah"s for everyone playing, soon to be showered with all kinds of bounty during the month of September, including a new live event, the Wild Hunt!

The Wild Hunt takes place in a new instanced dungeon, the Hunter's Vale, and will see both Order and Destruction taking on the "ultimate quarry". As well as this ten-day event (which runs from the 1st to the 10th of September) the rest of the month will feature weekend-only events, including new, special versions of Mourkain Temple (September 11-14), Gates of Ekrund (September 18-21) and Temple of Isha (September 25-28).

Already have your diary filled on those dates? Don't worry - even if you can't take part in any of the events, all players who log in during September will get a piece of the action, with a 20% XP and Renown bonus topping the list, but the promise of unique drops by RvR enemies including Exploding Stout coming a close second. Exclusive anniversary items will be delivered to all players by in-game mail, including Halfling Pies and the Jubilee Cloak, and veteran players who have made significant efforts in RvR play will be honoured with the WAR Aegis and title of Weapon of WAR.
