ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead announced

Bohemia Interactive have announced that the first standalone expansion pack for ArmA II, the creatively titled Arma II: Operation Arrowhead is currently in development, with the expansion set three years after the events of ArmA II.
Set in Takistan, players will see coalition forces (led by the US Army) participate in an all new flashpoint threatening to claim civilian lives. The role of the player will be to restore peace and prevent more civilian casualties. The new expansion will be set in central Asia, and will allow players to take on the role of basic infantrymen, special operatives, and vehicle operators.
The expansion pack is based on the same engine that powers ArmA II. While very few details about the expansion have been announced at this point, more details are expected to follow in the lead up to the game's release.
Mark Spanel, CEO of Bohemia Interactive had the following to say about the announcement:
