Midway San Diego bought by THQ

As devastating as the whole process has been for the defunct company as a whole, things looked even worse for the Newcastle and San Diego branches, which Warner Bros. declined to purchase. The Newcastle offices were forced to close over a fortnight ago, but employees in San Diego are breathing easier today as THQ snap them up.
Well, maybe not all of them; Midway employed around a hundred staff at San Diego, but THQ's purchase agreement, which was filed last week, only offers forty job placements for former Midway employees. The deal apparently set THQ back over USD $200,000 but interestingly enough does not cover TNA Impact, leaving the wrestling game's future in major jeopardy.
With Newcastle closed and San Diego sold off, the disposal of Midway is nearly complete. Midway's European branches in France and Germany have also found new owners, in the form of new companies formed by staff themselves.
