ArmA II gets patched thanks to Steam

An update to the military simulation game, ArmA II has been released via Steam, with the update introducing a number of fixes to a few very specific areas of the game.

The latest update sees some "Major" AI tweaking - which should make the game a little bit fairer, with the enemy AI having less sensitive hearing than before. Other changes include many improvements to the multiplayer and cooperative campaign game type, with saving games, and connection issues now allegedly behaving better. Finally, a number of fixes have been made to the Harvest Red campaign, which should make playing said campaign all the more enjoyable.

As always, a restart of your Steam client will make sure that the update is downloaded. Otherwise, it should just download automatically.

The complete change list is as follows:
  • Major AI tweaking and balancing (especially AI infantry can hear much less)
  • Improved multiplayer and cooperative campaign (saving games, connection issues)
  • Numerous fixes and improvements in the Harvest Red campaign
