Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hits Wii at Modern Warfare 2 launch

Rumours have been floating around for a day or two now, but Activision have been playing coy - until now. Yes, it's official: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is releasing on the Wii this November, right alongside the lustfully anticipated Modern Warfare 2 on the premium platforms.

The Wii port was put together by the World at War team, Treyarch, but really feels like a celebration of all things Infinity Ward given the conjunction with the celebrated developer's return to the franchise with Modern Warfare 2.

So WiiMote's everywhere are going to war again! There's not really much more to say here besides "yay" and "roll on November 10th", is there? it's nice that Wii owners get a great classic so they don't feel too jealous of neighbouring PCs, Playstation 3s and Xbox 360s on that hallowed day. Let's all go and stare at some Modern Warfare 2 screenshots and trailers and obsessively mark days off the calendar, shall we?
