While the sane, frustrated, or devoted simply booted into Windows on their Intel based Macs, Mythic Entertainment have thrown Mac owners some hope - a Mac client for the game, which is currently available (in beta form, at least) through the Warhammer Online website to all current players of the game.
New people aren't left out though, with those who haven't heard of (or even touched) a PC able to get in on the gaming action through a ten day beta trial of Warhammer Online, with new (and old players alike) able to get a few shiny bonuses by getting in on the beta action.
Those who participate in the Mac beta of Warhammer Online will be given an "exclusive title" and trophy in-game, that will follow the characters who participate in the beta where ever they go.

Jeff Hickman, Executive Producer on the title, is pleased about the fact that the game can now run natively on Macs, stating that:
The MMORPG audience continues to expand, and that means gamers eager to experience WAR aren’t all playing on a PC. We want as many players as possible to experience the glory of Realm vs. Realm combat, and bringing WAR to the Mac makes this an exciting reality.Meanwhile, the actual people behind the technology, TrasnGaming had their CEO and President, Vikas Gupta gush about their technology behind the process of making a PC game work on the Mac:
The availability of WAR on Mac is an outstanding example of the caliber of games being deployed for the Mac gaming community. Mythic Entertainment has created an incredible game and TransGaming is thrilled they have chosen our advanced Cider technology to launch WAR for the Mac.Mythic are eager to get Mac owners addicted to their game, having set up an entirely new webpage just for them which details what sort of Mac they will need in order to run Warhammer Online on OS X.
