Those of you who have missed swashbuckling pirate hero, Guybrush Threepwood will be very happy to know that Telltale Games have released a demo of the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island.

Entitled Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, the demo of the first episode gives players a chance to road-test the game play of Telltale's newest game, giving them the option to choose whether or not they'd like to walk the plank and plunge into the humorous depths of nostalgia, or just continue insisting that "the adventure game is dead".

Whatever your choice may be, the truth of the matter is that Telltale Games are one of the few remaining studios to focus on adventure games, so if you consider yourself a fan - we'd advise you to download the demo.

Launch of the Screaming Narwhal is the first chapter in Tales of Monkey Island, and is designed to appeal to both old fans of the Monkey Island series and new players alike.

In Tales of Monkey Island, Guybrush Threepwood finds himself on a strange island, separated from his wife Elaine, and nemesis, Le Chuck. With a voodoo pox threatening the nearby islands and a wind that always blows inward on the island, things are not well with the world, and Guybrush must investigate.
