Each Tuesday, Games On Net haplessly brings you a selection of recently released trailers for video games, be they good, bad, memorable, or simply shocking, in an effort to make your Tuesday night a joy, or alternatively; a horror - it all depends on your mindset.
This week, we take a look at a number of fantasy-esque games in a number of ways. First there is Demon's Souls, a PlayStation 3 exclusive that suggests the demons within the black behemoth haven't yet fully been expelled. After that, we tend to the loss of our loved ones in Divinity II - Ego Draconis, in which we get excited about the fact that we can ride dragons around and torch things. Once we're done petting our lovely dragon, we turn to a more tame sort of steed, embarking on a journey atop a destrier delivering us to Darksiders: Wrath of War.
Once we're done riding our war horse into battle, we take a look at what the Japanese gaming world can expect from Resonance of Fate while nodding on confusion and awe, before finally retreating inward to our cave-like dungeon in Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman: What Did I Do to Deserve This?.
Those with a PlayStation 3 always seem to bemoan the lack of decent role playing games on the platform. The truth is, there is no lack of role playing games on the platform, they've just not been released in English speaking territories ... yet. Enter Demon's Souls, a new IP, exclusive to the PlayStation 3, and due to be released in North America in October. While that means that we may or may not see an Australian release, the region free nature of the PlayStation 3 will allow those wanting to get their hands on some slashy RPG action shouldn't have too much difficulty importing a copy.

Dragons are such awesome, and incredible creatures that it makes me very sad that there isn't more games that let you take direct control of a dragon, complete the ability to unleash their terrible, terrible power upon the starving country side peasants, or, if you're feeling charitable, against the evil, oppressive empire that is starving the peasants in the first place. In any case, more games need dragons that can be directly controlled by the player, and more game trailers need the mighty fine presentation and story telling that is unleashed in this the trailer you're about to enjoy if you love dragons anywhere near as much as I do.

If the gravely voice acting of this trailer tells me anything, it tends to suggest that the story may or may not suck completely. While the concept, art direction and... setting of this one looks interesting, I can't help but associate said voice acting and potentially shallow plot. In any case, the visuals, and the prospect of playing as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse in a video game sounds pretty exciting to me, and is likely pretty exciting to the publisher behind the title, with another potential three tiles in the works to cover the other three horsemen, of course.
Darksiders: Weath of War 'Story' Trailer
This game is also known as End of Eternity, but both titles are pretty awesome, so we decided to use the most obscure one for this edition of Now Playing. While we really have no idea what is going on in the trailer, it loosely ties in with our fantasy theme for tonight's Now Playing for many reasons which will be left unexplained. If you doubt that this is the case, please, have your fears assuaged by watching the trailer and nodding (or perhaps frowning) in confusion at its inclusion.

The winner of the award for longest video game title in this week's edition of Now Playing goes to Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman: What Did I Do to Deserve This? - which kind of makes me happy, given the original concept of the game. You are an evil being. You live in your cave. Heroes like to kill evil beings. They try to enter your private, monster riddled sanctuary to take your gold. In response, you breed and produce a thriving eco system of monsters and traps in a bid to slaughter the hero. Throw in some retro charm, and the fact that the game is for the PSP, and you can't possibly have a better pitch for a fairly refreshing game idea.
