In the fallout of E3, several sources indicate that a Slim PlayStation 3 does exist, and today, several news agencies report that the "PS3 Slim" is due to shortly enter production, with Sony signing a contract to this effect.
It has been suggested that the manufacturing agreement has been signed by Sony to be handled by both Foxconn and Pegatron who will deliver the consoles to Sony as early to July.
It is anticipated that the console may be released in August, or September, but no official announcements regarding the new hardware revision have been released. Leaked images of the alleged box of the console suggest that it will have a 120GB Hard Disk.
No official details have been released regarding the "PS3 Slim", but we'll keep you informed as we learn more. The launch of the PS3 Slim could be coupled with a price drop on the regular, behemoth like black box, but again, none of this information has been confirmed by Sony.
We'll just have to wait and see.
