Max Payne 3 gets a bit more teased

What would you like to know about Max Payne 3?
If the answer is anything more than "a smattering of details that do more to tease than inform", then keep walkin'. However, if you're desperate for news on this particular project, perhaps reading a few vagueries will tide you over until we can get some more juicy details.

Original franchise developers Remedy are currently hard at work on Alan Wake (which was shown off at E3 to great acclaim), so everybody's anxious to see how Rockstar Vancouver pick up the pieces.

Max is now twelve years older than he was the last time we saw him - and balder, and with a beard. He now works in private security for a wealthy family in Sao Paulo, Brazil... and possibly due to his method of health top-ups in earlier games, now has an addiction to painkillers.

Rob Nelson, from Rockstar noted that while the game includes a cover system, that's not the main focus of the title.
"The way that you experience this world isn't just take cover, shoot, and move to the next piece of cover. We took all the elements of traditional Max and expanded it out so the game becomes gun ballet, or gun-fu, or whatever you want to call it."
Unsurprisingly, the game uses Rockstar's RAGE - the same engine that's behind Grand Theft Auto IV, and promises some highly destructible environments (including urban ghetto Latino neighbourhoods), complete with day/night cycle, and a presently undetailed online multiplayer mode. According to early reports, there are comparisons being drawn between the visual style of the game and the "vibrant colors" we've seen previously in Uncharted 2.
