Konami Announcement #2: MGO update

The new additions are not so much an expansion per se as an expansion to an expansion (exactly the sort of thing you'd expect from a company that announces they are going to make announcements!), in that this update will only be made available to players who have already purchased the SCENE expansion pack.
If you're one of the lucky ones who've already shelled out, you'll be rewarded with a bit of a grab bag of assorted goodies. Most prominent is the addition of one new map, Icebound Inferno, which is a version of the original Shadow Moses territory from Metal Gear Solid, and therefore all sorts of awesome involving flurries of snow and a scattering of buildings at different elevations, providing a perfect setting for testing out some long range techniques.
For fans of the man who proved grey hair and creaky backs can be dreamy (maybe just me), the addition of Old Snake as a playable character is a cute little bonus and will make kicking some noob butt ironically satisfying. For those who are doing a little less butt kicking than they'd like, the inclusion of the OctoCam suit featured in Guns of the Patriots could open up a whole new world of tactics, and maybe bestow that tiny edge you've been looking for...
Finally, a new Auto Matching Reward system has been introduced, in which only the winner or highest ranked member of a winning team will receive reward points, but the amount to be gained will be much higher than in ordinary matches, lending a little bit of gambling excitement to your points hunting!
Tune in tomorrow, when we expect to have another delectable tidbit brushed carelessly from Konami's table!
