Four tracks from Spinal Tap will be added to the Rock Band library, three of them from the band's new album, Back from the Dead - the final track will be a previously unreleased track that has only been made available via the band's website.
In addition to Spinal Tap, a trio of tracks from pop-rock band, Evanescence will arrive, making it a pretty decent week for Rock Band DLC, hot on the heels of a recent Iron Maiden track pack.
Spinal Tap came to massive fame with the release of the cult classic film This is Spinal Tap, which was released in 1984. Spinal Tap tracks that will enter the Rock Band music store are Back from the Dead, Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare and Warmer Than hell, along with the track Saucy Jack.
Derek Smalls, a member of the band stated simply the band's goals regarding the downloadable content:
Tap has always gone where the audience is. We hope this time the audience reciprocates. Whatever that means.Meanwhile, the Evanescence tracks that will enter the game are the band's greatest hits, which includes Bring Me to Life, Call Me When You're Sober, and Weight of the World.

The tracks will be available individually for 160 Microsoft Points, or US$1.99 on the PlayStation Network. Should you choose to purchase the packs, the Spinal Tap track pack will set you back 560 Microsoft Points, or US$6.99 on the PlayStation Network. The Evanescence track pack will be available for 440 Microsoft Points, or US$5.49 on the PlayStation Network.
The content will be available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the 16th of June, and will make its way onto the PlayStation Network on the 18th of June, in line with the weekly update.
