ARMA II gets a little flashy

If you can't wait for ARMA II (even though the release date's been pushed forward again), 505 Games and Bohemia Interactive are here to help, announcing ARMA II: The Flash Game. They consider it to be a brief introduction to the beginning of the ARMA II story, giving gamers a chance to explore the Post-Soviet Republic of Chernarus.

The developers are also feeling pretty generous - for each of the next five weeks, they'll be giving a copy of ARMA II to the two flash game players with the highest score. Better get practicing!

Marek Spanel, CEO of Bohemia Interactive talks about the new Flash game:
“At Bohemia we're known for our innovative, original, approach to game development and our intent was to create additional content based on the original world of ARMA II, using it in a way which makes it possible to connect with hundreds of thousands of gamers worldwide.“

In case you've not been paying attention, ARMA II is a realistic combat simulator in a modern-day setting. The sequel to Armed Assault sees unprecedented freedom of movement, actions and tactics, and is promising to immerse gamers in more intense large-scale battles than have ever been seen before.

Following a series of release-date adjustments, we're pleased to confirm thatARMA II will be hitting shelves (and digital download emporiums) on June 19th, exclusively for PC.

...and a handy tip from their website: If you see the Flash, it’s already too late!
