It has been a decent day for racing fans today, with two fairly large racing titles having a fair bit of attention thrown at them. Now, the final podium position for the day has been filled by another racing title - Colin McRae DiRT 2, from English publisher, Codemasters.

We've got a new trailer from the game, which is accompanied by a press release that details the sort of content we can expect to see in the game. Not only is there racing, but the game will focus on rebuilding career mode to be more vibrant, complete with a festival atmosphere that follows racing events around the globe.

Colin McRae DiRT 2 will have a soundtrack graced by "40 of the world's hottest bands", 100 off-road events in nine real world locations, and over 50 real-world digital rally drivers to compete against.

The game will be built around the new "World Tour" feature, that adds "vibrancy, colour, and attitude" to the game, with "the very best of modern off-roading" brought together in an experience that can be customised by the player to their own preferences.

The game promises "peerless visuals and lightning fast racing thrills", and is due for release in September this year on the DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii and the Xbox 360. For more information on the game, check out our previous news coverage.
