Gears of War Xbox 360 Bundle available from 4th of June

Last week, the people over at Microsoft Australia announced a special deal for those who were in the market for an Xbox 360 Elite. Today, Microsoft have announced a rather enticing deal for those that would prefer to not spend as much, but still get a half-decent package.

Dubbed the Xbox 360 Gears of War Bundle, the deal includes a 60GB Xbox 360 Pro Console, Gears of War and its sequel, Gears of War 2 for a special price, while stocks last.

At AU$449, it is a fairly enticing deal if you don't have an Xbox 360, and were going to pick up one of the titles anyway. The bundle includes a 60GB hard drive, a headset, a component cable to connect the console to your TV, and an Ethernet cable to plug your new console into the grand world of the Internet.

The bundle will be available from the 4th of June, until stocks run out. The console will be one of the newer chip set "Jasper", (like all new Xbox 360 consoles), which uses a smaller production process, allowing the console to run cooler than launch models, liberating it from the stigma of the Red Ring of Death. It also has a HDMI port.

While it is great to give gamers a lot of choice when they're entering the console market for the first time, it seems that there has been an awfully large number of Xbox 360 bundles in recent times, with the Elite bundle last week, the Resident Evil 5 bundle way back in March and the Halo Wars bundle even further back, in February.
