tri-Ace have released a shiny trailer for Resonance of Fate, their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 RPG that focuses on action within a gritty world, while pushing the boundaries of the "typical RPG".
The trailer shows off some very impressive footage, with large, intricate environments, dramatic lighting, and fairly detailed character models. There's even some cloth simulation to boot!

While it is likely that a great deal of the trailer content is CG, it looks like the game could be very interesting for those who are fans of the JRPG genre. Resonance of Fate will allow players to completely customise their weapons, and interact with a cast of "memorable characters".
The game will be available in Autumn next year (Spring for those in the Northern hemisphere) and will be available on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
