Battlefield 1943 - Iwo Jima map revealed in new trailer
Those looking forward to more World War II combat will be happy to see that a new trailer has been released for Battlefield 1943, which is due to launch on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network in June this year.

The new trailer shows off the 'Iwo Jima' map, features lots of explosions, gun fire and a rather large number of exploding, collapsing trees, which shows off the fact that the new, updated engine will feature destructible cover more prominently than the Frostbite engine's first outing, Battlefield: Bad Company.

The game will feature Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. Players will be able to fight on air, on land, and at Sea, with a number of vehicles and weapons at their disposal.

Battlefield 1943 is due to launch in June on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network for 1200 Microsoft Points or US$15. A PC version is scheduled for later, and is due to hit in September, to ensure that the game is "not a port", but instead developed with love and care for PC gamers.
