The pack, which includes three maps, and an extra map for the zombie-hunting game mode has proven to be incredibly popular. Even with a rather high price tag for the Australian market (AU$15.95) on the PlayStation Network, it appears that sales from other regions who appear to be more DLC friendly have fuelled sales greatly.
The content has made its way to the PC (free of charge) - which has obviously made some gamers happy. But, it seems hasn't yet completely filled the pockets of Activision Blizzard.
With sales of the downloadable content at over two million copies, it means that there is much more profit to be made, with the recent announcement of the second map pack, due to hit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network in June, before invading the PC at some time thereafter.
No formal release date for the second map pack has been finalised, and pricing is anticipated to mirror that of the first map pack, with three maps and an extra zombie map to be included. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
